§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Minister for the Civil Service in view of the fact that among the various benefits claimable by the top paid civil servants are public honours, permanency of employment, and non-contributory pensions which were granted to these recipients on condition that on retirement they would refrain from going into private and public business, and since fully indexed pensions are now payable, he will take action to ensure that these people do not take employment on retirement, as was the case until a few years ago.
