HC Deb 16 November 1977 vol 939 cc244-5W
Mr. Rees-Davies

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will identify the lifts in the Palace of Westminster which have been deliberately put out of action; what is the particular defect in each case; and what action he is taking to restore the lift facilities in the Palace of Westminster.

Mr. Marks

I am not aware that any lifts in the Palace of Westminster have been deliberately put out of action. Repairs to lifts which break down are not being carried out at present, as part of industrial action in support of a claim for increased craft allowances.
