HC Deb 11 November 1977 vol 938 c290W
Mr. Carter-Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will establish a confidential inquiry into perinatal deaths following the use of induction or delaying drugs.

Mr. Moyle:

The first confidential inquiries into perinatal deaths are now taking place in Scotland, and we shall be studying them closely, to see what specific or general lessons we may learn from them. Any decision about such inquiries before then would be premature.
