§ Mr. Kenneth Clarkeasked the Minister of Overseas Development what financial aid is being given by the Government to the study and promotion of industrial cooperatives in developing countries.
§ Mrs. Hart:Approval was recently given to a grant of £37,707 to the International Co-operative Alliance (ICA) for a two-year study of the key factors behind the successful operation of industrial cooperatives in developing countries. The ICA will publish the lessons drawn from the study. We shall also assist industrial co-operatives in developing countries through our technical co-operation programme.
