HC Deb 10 November 1977 vol 938 cc207-8W
Mr. Wrigglesworth

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services why it is necessary for international vaccination certificates to be authenticated in addition to being signed by a medical practitioner.

Mr. Moyle:

This is a requirement of international health regulations adopted by the World Health Assembly, which to which my Department is committed, but their effect on the staffing levels of individual local social security offices has not yet been calculated. I will write to the hon. Member when information about the effect of the reductions in Wales is available.
