§ Mr. John:The Law Commission and Criminal Law Revision Committee are the main bodies engaged in the codification of the law and when ancient laws come within their reviews they make recommendations as to their retention, repeal or replacement by modern provisions. In addition, when new legislation is planned, opportunity is taken to consider any ancient laws relevant to that legislation.
