§ Mr. James Whiteasked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he will bring into effect the increased maximum fines on summary conviction of common law offences of £1,000 for sheriff courts and £200 for district courts.
§ Mr. Millan:I have made a commencement order to bring the appropriate provisions of Criminal Law Act 1977 into operation on 1st December.
