HC Deb 09 November 1977 vol 938 c112W
Mr. Wyn Roberts

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the average waiting time for North Wales patients requiring treatment at the Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital, Liverpool.

Mr. Moyle:

Information about waiting times for patients from particular areas is not readily available. The total numbers of patients awaiting in-patient treatment at the Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital, Liverpool on 30th September 1977 were as follows:

Less than six months 403
More than six months but less than a year 241
More than a year but less than two years 96
More than two years None

The average waiting time for outpatient treatment was 13 weeks.

There is no reason to believe that the waiting times for patients from North Wales vary significantly from those stated above.
