§ Mr. MacGregorasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he expects that Part II of the Children Act 1975 will be implemented; and what are the reasons for the delay to the present date.
§ Mr. John:I regret that I can give no indication at present of when we shall be able to implement Part II. Consultations are taking place, but the delay is due to the lack of the additional resources which would be required by local authority social services departments and the probation and after-care service.
