HC Deb 26 May 1977 vol 932 c564W
25. Mr. Moonman

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make it his practice to introduce quarterly budgetary statements for presentation to Parliament.

Mr. Denzil Davies

My right hon. Friend has no plans to change the existing practice of presenting proposals for the future management of the economy to the House in the annual spring Budget and, if he judges it necessary, in other statements at the appropriate time. As far as information about the outturn for public sector receipts and expenditure is concerned, figures are already published by the Central Statistical Office at quarterly intervals.
