§ 31. Mr. Whiteheadasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what recommendations his Department will make to local authorities regarding priorities in the use of additional funds for urban renewal made available in 1977.
§ Mr. Guy BarnettThe additional funds made available this year are for the construction industry in inner areas. In the coming months my right hon. Friend will give guidance to local authorities on the use to be made of the Urban Programme in future years. In both cases we hope that there will be economic and environmental projects to augment the social projects which have made up the programme up to now.
