§ 35. Mr. Peter Bottomleyasked the Secretary of State for the Environment for what construction purposes the £100 mil lion allocated to inner city development will be used.

Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer said in his Budget speech, it is likely that the work will include the rehabilitation and improvement of old housing, industrial site preparation, the building of advance factories, school improvements, community buildings, day centres, health facilities and the reclamation of derelict and neglected land.
§ 36. Mr. Hal Millerasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will include proposals to aid areas on the fringe of inner areas of the large urban conurbations in the forthcoming White Paper on urban problems.
§ Mr. ShoreThe White Paper will be addressed to the problems of our inner cities. I refer the hon. Member to the answer given by my hon. Friend earlier today to the hon. Member for Liverpool, Wavertree (Mr. Steen).
