Mr. Anthony Grant

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the current annual cost in National Health Service hospitals of domestic services, housekeeping services, home warden services and ancillary services, respectively; and if he will express these as a percentage of the cost of hospitals as a whole.

Mr. Moyle

Expenditure on domestic and other general services in National Health Service hospitals in England in the financial year 1975–6, the latest year for which information is available, was as follows:

borough of Lewisham for the years 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975 and 1976;

(2) what was the crude death rate in the Greater London Council area in the years 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975 and 1976;

(3) what was the crude death rate in England and Wales for the years 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975 and 1976.

As follows:

Area Health Authority what revenue funds are needed to enable Rotherham District General Hospital to be brought into use. The RHA hopes to make funds available so as to enable patients to be admitted as soon as commissioning is complete.

asked the Secretary of State for the Social Services if he will publish details of the length of waiting lists of hospitals in the London borough of Lewisham at the most recent date available.
