What are the minimum and maximum periods of time likely to be necessary for developing the "Glassification" process for nuclear wastes from its present experimental stage to a commercially usable level.

The earliest possible date for an industrial scale vitrification plant to be fully ready for operation might be about 1985, but current plans are based on having such a plant available in 1987.
