§ Mr. Thorneasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if he will give the number of National Health Service staff leaving the service because of psychiatric assessment during the periods 1973–74, 1974–75 and 1975–76 by category; 332W male and female, nurses and professional staff and technical staff;
(2) what is the number of National Health Service staff who have been forced to leave the service because of psychiatric assessment during the periods 1973–74, 1974–75 and 1975–76.
§ Mr. DeakinsThere are no figures available centrally for the number of staff leaving the National Health Service on account of psychiatric assessment. But if my hon. Friend has a particular difficulty in mind and he would write to me with details I would be happy to have it looked into.
