Mr. Hayhoe

asked the Secretary of State for Employment on what dates the Redundancy Fund has been in greatest surplus and greatest deficit; and what were the amounts involved.

Mr. Golding

The Redundancy Fund was in greatest surplus on 11th October 1974 when the amount was £22.7 million and in greatest deficit on 2nd May 1969 when the amount was £17.8 million.
