HC Deb 02 May 1977 vol 931 cc32-3W
Mr. Ronald Bell

asked the Secretary of State for Transport what timetable he now envisages in respect of the proposed stretch of the M25 in the Beaconsfield constituency for (a) a public inquiry into the proposed route and any variation of it or alternative to it (b) the commencement of construction and (c) the completion of construction and of separate stages of construction.

Mr. Horam

A public inquiry into proposals for the section of the M25 in the hon. and learned Member's constituency has been programmed for the spring of 1979. Subject to the satisfactory completion of the statutory procedures and the availability of funds at the time, I expect construction of the whole section of the M25 between the M4 and Maple Cross to start in late 1981 and to be completed in late 1983.
