§ Mr. McCuskerasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will publish the terms of the three-year lease negotiated with Craigavon Borough Council for the use of the Town Hall in Lurgan following the destruction of the Royal Ulster Constabulary station and the date of termination of the lease.
§ Mr. DunnFollowing the destruction of the Lurgan Police Station on 16th November 1973 the Police Authority for Northern Ireland negotiated with Craigavon Borough Council a three-year lease, effective from 1st November 1973, for the use of the Town Hall, Lurgan, as a temporary police station. The Borough68W Council has agreed to extend the lease for a further three years with an option in favour of the Police Authority to terminate at the end of five years from 1st November 1973. The lease contains the following conditions: (a) payment by the Police Authority of a rent of £3,700 per annum in addition to all rates and taxes; (b) the Police Authority to keep the interior and exterior of the premises in good order and condition; (c) the Police Authority to paint both the inside and outside of the premises in the 3rd year of the lease; (d) the Police Authority to be responsible for the security of the premises.
