§ Paisley District General Hospital—Replacement hospital of about 700 acute, psychiatric and geriatric beds to serve the population of the Renfrew District.
§ Ayrshire and Arran:
§ Ayrshire Central Hospital, Area laundry—To meet the extra demand for laundry services and to replace existing unsatisfactory units following the commissioning of North Ayrshire District General Hospital.
§ Borders:
§ Peebles Hay Lodge—A new hospital of 50 geriatric and general practitioner beds to replace existing provision in Peebles.
§ Fife:
§ Geriatric Unit, Glenrothes—To provide 72 geriatric and general practitioner beds.
§ Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy (Whyteman's Brae)—A unit of 180 geriatric and psycho-geriatric beds with day hospital facilities.
§ Forth Valley:
§ Stirling Royal Infirmary—A surgical block to replace existing unsatisfactory accommodation in the Stirling area.
§ Falkirk Royal Infirmary—A major modernisation scheme to up grade the maternity unit.
§ Area Nurse Training Centre—To replace existing centres and to centralise nurse training facilities in the area.
§ Grampian:
§ Woodlands Hospital—Replacement of existing unsatisfactory facilities in this mental deficiency hospital.
§ Geriatric Assessment Unit, Elgin—To provide 30 geriatric assessment beds.
§ Greater Glasgow:
§ Glasgow Royal Infirmary—Residential Accommodation.
§ Eastern District Group Nurse Training School—To provide a permanent centre for nurse training in the Eastern District.
§ Gartloch Hospital—A new unit of 120 psycho-geriatric beds to replace existing unsatisfactory accommodation.

§ Inverness Central Hospital: Phase II—The second phase of the development of this hospital to rationalise acute services in the Inverness area.
§ Lothian:
§ Astley Ainslie Hospital—A new unit of 60 geriatric beds.
§ Royal Victoria Hospital: Phase III—To provide an additional 180 geriatric and psycho-geriatric beds, a psycho-geriatric day hospital and a psychiatric centre.
§ Orkney:
§ Dental and speech therapy clinic—To upgrade clinic facilities in Kirk wall.
§ Shetland:
§ Hospital Development, Lerwick—First phase of replacement of existing geriatric hospital services to meet the needs of the area, and to relieve pressure on acute accommodation.
§ Tayside:
§ Murray Royal Hospital, Perth—To provide a new treatment centre and 150 beds pavilion as part of a phased programme of centralisation of psychiatric in-patient services for the Perth and Kinross District.
§ Strathmartine Hospital, Dundee—To provide a new therapy centre at this mental deficiency hospital.
§ Geriatric services, Perthshire—Development of geriatric provision including a geriatric assessment unit at Perth Royal Infirmary, and small units at Blairgowrie, Pitlochry and Aberfeldy.
§ Common Services Agency:
§ Aberdeen Blood Transfusion Centre—Extension.
§ Protein Fractionation Centre, Liberton—Microbiological Laboratory.
