HL Deb 30 March 1977 vol 381 c1022WA
Lord AVEBURY

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Why, considering that a letter to the secretary of the Immigration Appeals Tribunal dated 3rd February took until 17th March to answer, due to "pressure of work", there was nobody in the office of the Tribunal at 16.20 on 18th March.

Lord HARRIS of GREENWICH

I understand that, although a particular room was temporarily unoccupied at that time, the office of the Immigration Appeals Secretariat was adequately staffed on 18th March until 5.30 p.m.
