HC Deb 21 March 1977 vol 928 c453W
Mr. George Grant

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many disabled workers were employed at the North Seaton Remploy factory at the latest available date; and what were the comparable figures for each of the past five years.

Mr. John Grant

I understand from the Manpower Services Commission that there is a Remploy factory at Ashington, and I assume that this is the Remploy factory to which the Question refers. The figures are:

Total of severely disabled people Employed at Remploy, Ashington
January 1977 160
January 1976 171
January 1975 170
January 1974 167
January 1973 156
January 1972 145
