§ Mr. DuffyCivil superannuation is generally excluded from the defence budget and currently forms part of Class XIV expenditure. The provision included in Defence Estimates for Service retired pay, pensions, etc., and for a minimal element of civilian pensions, mainly in respect of unestablished civilian locally engaged abroad, as a percentage of the total defence budget was as follows:
