§ Mrs. Shirley WilliamsThe Educational Disadvantage Unit, which is an integral part of my Department, and the Centre for Information and Advice on Educational Disadvantage, which is an independent body set up and funded by my Department, are both concerned with the identification and amelioration of educational disadvantage. The results of research supported by my Department and reports by Her Majesty's inspectors are published from time to time and the Centre for Educational Disadvantage is launching a series of publications to make information about good practice widely available.
