§ Mr. Boydenasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he is intending to use the power available to him in Section 62(3) of the Health and Safety at Work Act etc. 1974 to authorise local authorities to charge fees in connection with the performance of their prescribed functions relating to the Building Regulations.
§ Mr. FreesonI have asked officials to consult with representatives of local authorities and others concerned about the practicability of charging fees for applications under the Building Regulations.
