§ 43. Mr. MacGregorasked the Secretary of State for Employment what action his Department has taken to assist summer term school leavers in obtaining employment.
§ Mr. Harold WalkerAs my right hon. Friend informed the House on 3rd March, to meet the needs of this year's school leavers additional funds are being made available to extend and expand the Government's special measures for alleviating unemployment among young people. The Government are also currently considering the Manpower Services Commission's report "Young People and Work", which proposes a new programme of opportunities for young people. A statement to the House about this will be made tomorrow.
