HC Deb 23 June 1977 vol 933 c544W
Mr. David Walder

asked the Attorney-General what is the sum of legal fees required of parents in adoption cases.

The Attorney-General

The fees payable are £20 in the case of an adoption in the High Court and £5 in the case of an adoption in the county court. There are no court fees payable in respect of an adoption order made by a magistrates' court. It is not known how much prospective adopters may pay to lawyers who advise or represent them in connection with adoption proceedings.
