§ 40. Mr. Peter Bottomleyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what would be the annual increase in revenue if prescription charges were now increased in line with the rise in the retail price index since the present level of charges was established.
§ Mr. MoyleAdditional revenue in England, based on the rise in the retail price index between April 1971 and April 1977, would be about £31 million a year assuming that the number of chargeable prescriptions remained at the current level.
