§ 65. Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will give the number of occasions that the hon. Member for Newham, North-West has written, telephoned, and asked him personally to see that in his correspondence with the hon. Member he includes the name and address of the constituent or complainant; why he refuses, declines, or fails to do this; and whether he will take action to do this in the future.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesAlthough there is no record of how often, I acknowledge that my hon. Friend has explained his requirements. As I hope he will in turn acknowledge, it is only in a small number of cases that the address of the constituent or complainant has by oversight been omitted. My staff will try to ensure this does not recur.
