§ 52. Mr. Maddenasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will agree to review the child benefit annually together with other long-term benefits.
§ Mr. OrmeSection 5(5) of the Child Benefit Act 1975 already provides for an annual review of the rates of child benefit. Because the phasing in arrangements involve reductions in child tax allowances, which must be made from the beginning of the financial year, the next increase will be in April 1978.
