§ Mr. Croninasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what further improvements will be carried out in the design of vehicles provided by his Department for handicapped persons.
§ Mr. Alfred MorrisThe final contracts for the supply of three-wheeled invalid vehicles to my Department will be completed in 1978. While no further design changes are planned, as is usual, any modifications which experience in service indicates to be desirable will be introduced into production and, where necessary, retrospective modifications will be undertaken. My hon. Friend may like to know that six such modifications are currently being undertaken. Other road vehicles purchased and supplied by my Department are standard commercially available cars with any necessary control adaptations.
