§ Mr. Gryllsasked the Minister for the Civil Service (1) how many orders for computers made by Government Departments, nationalised industries and local authorities have been by means of open tender system, in each of the years 1974, 1975 and 1976;
(2) if he will list the purchases by Government Departments, nationalised industries and local authorities of computer systems from (a) International Computers Limited and (b) other companies in each of the years 1974, 1975 and 1976.

The following tables show for the financial years 1974–75, 1975–76 and 1976–77: (1) the number of orders for computers 350W for Government Departments placed by means of open tender and (2) the number of orders placed for Government Departments with International Computers Limited and other companies. I am sending to the hon. Member separately a more detailed analysis of the information contained in Tables 2(a) and 2(b).
