§ Mr. Kenneth Clarkeasked the Secretary of State for Energy what reductions in the numbers employed in the power generating industry are expected to follow the building of Drax B power station and the consequent closures of other stations.
§ Mr. BennI am informed by the CEGB that the effect of Drax B on the closure of existing plant could only be finally assessed close to its commissioning in the mid-1980s as it is dependent to a large extent on demand growth.
