§ Mr. Moonmanasked the Secretary of State for Industry whether the Wimpey construction company or its subsidiaries have received any grants or loans from his Department; and what was the amount of such grants or loans during the past two years.
§ Mr. Cryer,pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 13th June 1977; Vol. 933, c. 63], gave the following information:
Payments of investment grants and regional development grants to the Wimpey Group totalled £3,013,000 for the two years from 1st April 1975 to 31st March 1977. These have been published in Trade and Industry under 277W the arrangements announced on 31st July 1974 by the then Secretary of State for Industry. No assistance has been provided under Parts II or III of the Industry Act 1972.
