§ Mr. Priorasked the Secretary of State for Transport what is the cost of the new Wangford Bypass; and what would be the additional cost of a chain link fence for 100 yards to replace the hedge which was moved during the road work and which provided protection for young children from running on to the road.
§ Mr. HoramThe estimated cost of the bypass is £460,000 and of the 100 yards of chain-link fence is £450. After further consideration we have decided that this fence will be provided. In addition, a new hedge will be planted to lessen its visual intrusion.
