52. Mr. Grylls

asked the Secretary of State for Trade, further to his reply to the hon. Member for Bridgwater (Mr. King) on 15th November 1976, concerning the recommendations from the sector working party on the wool textile industry, whether the Government have made any progress in securing tariff reductions against British textile exports, in the context of tariff negotiations in the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade.

It is our objective to secure reductions in the negotiations; but the relevant stage of the negotiations has not yet been reached.
