HC Deb 27 July 1977 vol 936 cc343-4W
Mr. Kilfedder

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many widows or other immediate relatives of members of the Royal Ulstar Constabulary, Royal Ulstar Constabulary Reserve, and the Ulstar Defence who have been killed by the Irsh Republican Army since 1968 have been invited to the various Royal functions during the forthcoming visit to Northern Ireland of Her Majesty.

Mr. Mason

It was announced from Number 10 Downing Street on 13th June that people from all walks of life in Northern Ireland will have the opportunity to meet the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh. Invitations to the various receptions include some representatives of all those categories described in the Question. It would not, however, be appropriate to give further particulars about the categories, or numbers in each category, of those who have been invited to the various receptions.
