asked the Lord Advocate if he will list for all bodies (other than committees) to which he appoints members, other than civil servants, the authority for making the appointment.

Section 2(1) of the Law Commissions Act 1965, as read with Articles 2(1)(e) and 3(3)(b) of the Transfer of Functions (Secretary of State and Lord Advocate) Order 1972 [SI 1972 No. 2002].

The Council on Tribunals

Section 2(1) of the Tribunals and Inquiries Act 1971, as read with Articles 2(1)(f) and 3(3)(c) of the Transfer of Functions (Secretary of State and Lord Advocate) Order 1972 [SI 1972 No. 2002].

I am jointly responsible with my noble and learned Friend the Lord Chancellor for the appointment of the Chairman and members of this body.
