HC Deb 27 July 1977 vol 936 cc300-1W
Mr. Brotherton

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list in the Official Report the number and names of organisations which have made unsuccessful applications for job projects under the job creation scheme in the London and South-East Region.

Mr. Golding

I regret that the information requested cannot be provided without disproportionate cost to public funds. I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission, however, that up to 21st July, in the London and South-East area, 1,305 applications for funds under the job creation programme had been received. 715 of them have either been rejected or withdrawn, 479 have been approved and 111 are under consideration.
