§ Mr. HattersleyFrom 1st August, price controls will be based upon the permanent new investigatory powers set out in the Price Commission Act and until 31st July 1978 the continuation of margin controls. In addition, we have announced special action on particular prices in the context of the overriding need to reduce the rate of inflation in the coming year.
