HC Deb 21 July 1977 vol 935 c680W
Mr. Andrew F. Bennett

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what discussions he has had during the last six months with the Countryside Commission and the national parks about the problem of litter.

Mr. Marks

On 23rd June, in discussion with representatives of the Countryside Commission and other Government agencies concerned with sport and recreation, I drew attention to the anti-waste campaign which I launched the day before jointly with my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Industry. I propose to bring this to the attention of the national parks in particular when I address their annual conference in September.
