§ Mr. Sproatasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will list all vessels, personnel, etc., for which he is responsible, that are engaged on fishery potection at the latest available date.
§ Mr. BishopNo vessel for which my right hon. Friend is responsible is engaged on fishery protection duties. Fishery protection work is, however, an important part of the responsibilities of my Department's Sea Fisheries Inspectorate, which currently consists of 23 officers. The Inspectorate liaise closely with those responsible for fishery protection within the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force as well as with the administrative divisions within my Department which are responsible for fisheries policy including the formulation of fisheries regulations.
