§ Mr. DeakinsThe year from August 1976 to July 1977 includes the general uprating of benefits in November 1976, at which pensions and other long-term benefits rose by 15 per cent. for a single person and 15.6 per cent. for a married couple, and short-term benefits by 16.2 per cent. for a single person and 16.1 per cent. for a married couple.
