Mr. Kilroy-Silk

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) how many juveniles, by sex, are in each of the special hospitals;

(2) how many juveniles, by age and sex, share wards with adults in the special hospitals.

The number of patients under the age of 18 years, as at 13th July 1977, detained in the special hospitals, was follows:

The patients at Broadmoor and Ramp-ton, and the female patients at Moss Side, sleep in wards with adult patients.

The male patients at Moss Side sleep in a 30-bed ward and the remaining five beds are occupied by patients of either 18 or 19 years of age.
