§ 58. Mr. Hefferasked the Secretary of State for Employment what is the usual time for a case to be submitted to the Central Arbitration Committee and for a reply to be sent to the parties concerned after the committee has met and considered the case.
§ Mr. John GrantReferences to the Committee come from different sources under a number of provisions, each with different procedures. It is, therefore, not possible to give a meaningful general reply. The time taken for details of an award to be sent to the parties after a hearing by the Committee will depend on the complexity of the case, and, for example, the need to obtain and consider additional evidence. Once the Committee has reached a decision, a copy of the award will normally be sent to the parties within a month.
