HC Deb 04 July 1977 vol 934 c397W
Mr. Greville Janner

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many individual letters and how many petitions with how many names he has received from the county of Leicestershire and from the city of Leicestershire, respectively, expressing concern at the effect which the implementation of the Annan Report proposals would have on Radio Leicester.

Mr. John

The information is not available in the form requested. Up to 30th June the Home Office had received 40 letters from individuals, and petition forms bearing about 6,600 signatures, indicating concern at the effect which the implementation of the recommendations in the report of the Committee on the Future of Broadcasting would have on Radio Leicester.
