HC Deb 04 July 1977 vol 934 cc421-2W
Mr. Sproat

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what hours local offices of his Department are regularly open; and under what circumstances members of the public are prevented by members of his Department from entering a local office during those hours.

Mr. Deakins

The normal opening hours to the public are from 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. from Monday to Friday each week except on public holidays. Exceptionally the offices are closed during those hours when, for special reasons, eg industrial action by the staff, it is no longer possible to maintain a service to the public.
