HC Deb 04 July 1977 vol 934 c422W
Mr. Sproat

asked the Secretary of State for Social Security when he expects to announce the results of his Department's inquiry into what mail from his Department could be sent second-class in future in order to save money.

Mr. Deakins

The detailed studies into the use of first- and second-class mail by my Department will involve extensive inquiries in many parts of the country and the results will probably not be available to me until the first part of 1978.
