Mr. Spearing

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what is the ad valorem incidence of the full duties and charges levied by the EEC on imports of each class of agricultural product calculated on the landed cost of United Kingdom imports from non-EEC countries in November 1976.

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 24th January 1977; Vol. 924, c. 445], gave the following information:

It would be misleading and inappropriate to express the overall incidence of duties and levies in ad valorem terms since there is a wide variety of rates, many of them related to weight or
