Mr. Jim Callaghanasked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many families are registered as homeless in each of the county districts of the Greater Manchester County Council area; how many families are registered throughout the United Kingdom as homeless; and how many single young people are homeless in the Greater Manchester area.
§ Mr. ArmstrongDuring the period July to December 1975, the latest period for which statistics are currently available, district councils in Greater Manchester accepted responsibility for the provision of accommodation for the following number of homeless households:

I expect the figures for the first half of 1976 to be available very shortly.
