HC Deb 25 February 1977 vol 926 c731W
Mr. Eldon Griffiths

asked the Secretary of State for Transport in view of the increasing pilferage and vandalism taking place on British Railways property, what additional steps are being taken by the British Transport Police to protect British Railways property.

Mr. William Rodgers

I am sure that the British Transport Police pursue vigorously the fight against pilferage and vandalism on the railway, but the particular measures taken are a matter for the British Railways Board, and I doubt whether it would be in the public interest for me to seek and publish details of them.
